Aviation Rule Number 2498: Always say yes.

Another thing I have learned in this funny aviation game is to always be open to new things.  Just do it (sorry, that's copyrighted ....ummm....) Just say yes.

Manny rang me today asking if I wanted to go up with him in a Jabiru LSA55, which is the predecessor to the J160.  A little bit smaller overall, yet it has the same size engine - which means it can climb like a scared cat.

The sun was getting low in the sky, so once again the long shadows were creeping over the paddocks.

 

The LSA is a lot harder to slow down and tends to float a lot more on landing.  It is somewhat narrower in the cockpit than the J160.  Apart from that, it is a great little aeroplane to fly!
