To keep his skills sharp, Manny needs to do his own regular practice. Because there isn't heaps of time laying around, he makes sure that he fits many aspects into each practice - even a humble circuit session!
He also wants the aircraft to behave just like it does when he's demonstrating a manoevure to a student.
That's where I come in!
I'm more than happy to be ballast for a session! It gives me time to look around, not only down at the sights on the ground, but also a close look at how Manny operates the aircraft. It's fascinating!
Today was a mix up of all kinds of circuits. A new student completed her first solo, so we even got to congratulate her over the radio (just like someone did for me ) when she landed safely again.
I'm happy to be ballast any time!
